Jack Cummings, 92 of Plainfield, passed away on May 27, 2017 in his residence.  Born February 22, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Guy Nevis and Freida Olsen Cummings.  He married Jean Higgs and she preceded him in death.  Jack was a WWII Veteran who served in the front-line tanker with the Spearhead Division.  He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.  Mr. Cummings was an accountant for General Motors for 49 years before retiring.  Survivors include his children, Lorraine Craft of Plainfield, Eileen (Richard) Janzso of New York, Jay (Virginia) Cummings of Manilla, Phillipines; grandchildren, Barry Fowler, Jennifer Janzso and Kyle Janzso.  His parents, wife, brothers, Jim Cummings and Guy, Jr. "Bud" Cummings, preceded him in death.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is in charge of the arrangements.  There will be no services.
