Harold Leon Smith, 82 of Danville, passed away on April 25, 2022 in Indianapolis.  He was born on August 03, 1939 in Clinton, Indiana, to the late Grover Brit and Myrtle Josephine (Kelley) Smith.  Harold married Virginia L. "Jenny" Amerman on June 13, 1964 in St. Bernice, Indiana.  He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Danville.  Harold worked for General Motors-Chevrolet plant for over 35 years, retiring in 1997.  He was an outdoorsman and loved to find treasures at garage sales.  Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jenny Smith of Danville; children, Douglas Leon Smith of New Jersey, Mark S. Smith (Anne) of Stilesville, Gary A. Smith (Angie D.) of Roachdale, Leigh Ann Kelly (Michael) of Marshall, Illinois; brother, Grover Brit Smith, Jr. (Jane); sister, C. Jean Abner, both of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nephews.  His parents and brother, Gary Wayne Smith, preceded him in death.  Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the funeral home.
