Gladys Benge, 95 of Danville, passed away on June 05, 2024 in Plainfield.  She was born on July 01, 1928 in Clay County, Kentucky, to the late Sudie (Baker) and Ernest Benge.  She assembled telephones for Western Electric for 32 years before retiring.  Gladys enjoyed spending time at the Hendricks County Senior Center in Danville.  She loved to dance, especially clogging, and was an artist and enjoyed creating many oil paintings.  She also loved to play the guitar.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ella Benge Cupp and husband, Howard; and nephew, Wayne Cupp.  Survivors include her nephews, Terry Cupp and wife, Kristen of Michigan, Ron Cupp and wife, Elaine of South Carolina; Wayne's wife, Betty Cupp of Florida; great nephew, Michael Cupp and wife, Stacie of Danville; and several other great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 09, 2024 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Hadley Friends Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Senior Center 1201 Sycamore Lane Danville, IN 46122 or Cypress Manor 865 E Main St Danville, IN 46122.
