Gertrude L. Gruca, age 96, of Plainfield, passed away on September 8, 2021 in her residence.  She was born on August 29, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Frank and Mary James Angrick.  She was the widow of Edward Joseph Gruca.  Gertrude was a homemaker.  She loved to cook, especially for family gatherings, travel, doing crossword puzzles, a member of the Grandmothers Club, watching crime shows and enjoyed spending time with her family.  Memorial services will be held on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with inurnment to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Calling hours will be held from 12 noon to service time.  Survivors include her children: Randall Gruca (Jaclyn), Debra Beesley (Daniel) and Ryann Broyles (Jerry).  10 Grandchildren, 15 Greatgrandchildren and 4 Great Great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Darrell Gruca.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society 5635 W. 96th Street Suite 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.  Online condolences can be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
