George Thomas "Tom" Whipps, age 65, of Martinsville passed away on December 20, 2024.  He was born on October 4, 1959 in San Diego, California.  Tom was raised by his mother Sarah Nelms Fitzsimmons and Step Father Richard Fitzsimmons.  He was a Millwright for 30+ years and had a lawn cutting service. Tom enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, camping and spending time with his grandkids. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday December 29, 2024 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Gail Whipps who he married on July 7, 2007.  Daughter: Carrie Whipps.
