Evelyn Mae Hanson, 102 of Danville passed away on December 10, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis on February 23, 1923 to the late Ralph O. and Berniece Harvey Dawson. Evelyn married Frank Lee Hanson on June 29, 1944; he passed away October 9, 1994.  She was a director of cardiology services at Hendricks County Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1987. At age 13 Evelyn started in the lab at St. Elizabeth Hospital and that kick started her career. She was a member at Danville Friends Church.  Evelyn was one of the founders of the local Red Cross; she worked as a nurse's aide while taking classes for her medical license.

Survivors include her children: Constance Mae Rose, Yvonne Bucker, Franklin Earl Hanson and David Wayne Hanson.  5 Grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

Private graveside services were held at Danville South Cemetery.
