Emeteria Leticia Pacheco Magnaye, 84 of Plainfield, passed away on May 17, 2024. She was born on March 03, 1940 in Tiaong, Quezon, Philippines, to the late Remedios (Maderazo) and Simplicio Pacheco. She married Clodualdo Magnaye on September 17, 1966 in Tiaong, Quezon, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2016.
Emeteria received her master's degree in elementary education and was an elementary school Principal for many years until she retired.
A devout Catholic, she attended services at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville. Previously she was a member of St. John de Baptist Catholic Church, Family Life Apostolate, Mother Butler, and Couples for Christ, all in the Philippines. She enjoyed going to the Hendricks Senior Center where she made good friends with her crochet group.
Survivors include her children, Agnes Magnaye of Plainfield, Angelo Magnaye (Irma) of St. Cloud, Florida, Clodelicia Magnaye of Avon, Judith Magnaye Garcia (Christopher) of The Netherlands, Cleo Magnaye Sinamban (Raymond) of Plainfield; 7 grandchildren, Franz, Christopher, Pia Marie, Jerrico, Christen, Naomi, Andrew; and 4 half-siblings. Emeteria was also the guardian for Gizhel, John Dan Marc, and John Paul. Her parents; husband; and one half-sibling, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 01, 2024 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 01, 2024 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franciscan Hospice House 8414 Franciscan Lane Indianapolis, IN 46237.
