Ellen Gale Davis, 67 of Danville, passed away on January 17, 2022.  She was born on February 12, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Edward Orian and Eva Anna (Shields) Hefley.  She was a caregiver for many years before retiring.  Ellen became a Christian at the age of 18 and with her strong faith, has served God ever since then.  She enjoyed gardening, writing, flowers, especially pink roses, and was a naturalist.  Survivors include her husband, Charles Davis of Danville; daughters, Clarissa Brattain (Donald) of Brazil, IN., Crystal Hobbs (Bruce) of Danville; siblings, Edward Hefley, Jr. (Kathy) of Indianapolis, Eric Hefley of Greenwood, Ernest Hefley of Lizton, Evan Hefley of West Virginia, Evelyn Hefley, Elizabeth Hefley, both of Danville; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Brian, Chad, Michael, Matthew; one great granddaughter, Daizie Mae; and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time in the funeral home.  May send flowers in condolences or in honor of her love for animals, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society 3033 E Main St Danville, IN  46122.
