Elaine Oglesby, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away August 26, 2017.  Born December 11, 1958 in Rensselaer, Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard and Lois Knust Oglesby.  Elaine received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her master's degree from Indiana University.  She was a teacher and a media specialist for over 30 years in the Indianapolis Public School System.  Elaine attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.  Survivors include her sister, Carolyn (Mark) Phillips of Edgewater, MD.; nieces, Amanda Phillips of New York City, NY., Julia (Brandon) Davis of Springfield, VA.; great nephews, Gresham and Wyatt Davis.  Her parents and sister, Barbara Oglesby, preceded her in death.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Danville United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery, Brazil.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Public Library.
