Edward T. Burns, Jr., 62 of Plainfield, passed away November 10, 2019.  He was born on May 19, 1957 in New York, New York to the late Amalia Suarez and Edward T. Burns.  He married Glenda K. Gray-Turpin on September 19, 2015 in Indianapolis.  Edward worked as a lifelong employee of the insurance industry, rising through the ranks, eventually retiring as a member of management.  He was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister.  He was active as a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.  Edward was an avid tennis player and loved to swim.  Survivors include his wife, Glenda K. Burns of Plainfield; children, Suzanne Mobley (Terry) of Indianapolis, Brandon Turpin of Plainfield; sister, Maria B. Laughlin (Mark) of Laurel, Maryland; grandchildren, Victoria Collier (Austin) of Indianapolis, Amanda Burnell (William) of Richmond, Gabrielle Mobley of Indianapolis, Falyn Turpin of Plainfield; 2 great grandchildren, Chase and Hayden Collier.  A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in St. Susanna Catholic Church with calling one hour prior to the service in the church.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Life's Journey of Avon 10241 E CR 100 N Indianapolis, IN  46234.
