Donna Sue Sowers, age 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 7th, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was born on February 13th, 1946 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Roy and Betty Whitlock and was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Lee Whitlock.  Donna was a homemaker for the past 31 years but prior to that she was a Qualified Nursing Assistant at Clarks Creek Nursing Home and a Correctional Officer at the Plainfield Correctional Facility.  She married Kenneth Sowers in October 1992, and they enjoyed traveling to different campgrounds and antique stores until their later years.  Donna was a self-taught oil painter and skilled in sewing, quilting, and crocheting.  Survivors include husband Kenneth Sowers; Children: Delinda Burdine (Doug), Robert Wiley (Sarah), Cindy Thompson (Roger), Jennifer Wiley (Jerry), and Suzanne Parra (Marco); Stepchildren:  Nancy Terry (Roger), Kimberly Cross (Sam), Sharon Ramsey, Mark Sowers (Sandy), and Raymond Sowers; 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
