Donald Richard Whiting, 74 of Avon, passed away on June 24, 2024 in the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.  He was born on August 30, 1949 in Sacramento, California, to the late Barbara (West) and Richard Whiting. Donald received an Associate Degree in Arts from the American River College.  He  married Gloria Jean Martin on September 20, 1984 in San Francisco, California.  He was an U. S. Army veteran and worked for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for the military for over 20 years.  Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Gloria Jean Whiting of Avon; sons, Joshua Whiting, Jason Whiting, Emerito F. Fishburn; and his sister, Dorothy Witter.  Baker Funeral Home in Danville is handling the arrangements.  There will be no services at this time.
