Donald Edward Poindexter age 81, of Avon, passed away on February 3, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.  He was born on June 1, 1939 in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Archie and Lula Anderson Poindexter.  He was a job setter for Allison's for 30+ years retiring in 1992.  Donald was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Avon and the Masonic Lodge.  Survivors include his sons: Shawn Poindexter and Kevin Poindexter.  Daughter in law: Teresa Brown.  Sister: Connie Masters.  Grandchildren: Karen Worland, Kyle Poindexter, Tyler Poindexter, Bryce Poindexter and Brett Poindexter.  Great grandchildren: Nekoda Worland and AnnaBelle Worland.  Niece: Ashley Roy.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be on Thursday February 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery.  All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment.
