Donald Albert Goldsby, age 92, of Plainfield passed away on June 11, 2024 in Life's Journey Hospice.  He was born on August 9, 1931 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Albert and Mattie Clark Goldsby. He was an US Army Veteran where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne 35th Regimental Combat Team in the Korean War.  Don was the widower of Nellie J. Brown Goldsby.  He was a supervisor at Eli Lilly Co. for 30 years before his retirement. Don made knives, enjoyed carving and woodworking and also enjoyed math and art.   Private burial services will be held in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include his son: Dale (Lori) Goldsby. Grandchildren: Kaitlin Goldsby- Bezek (Alex), Lindsey Adams and Melissa Adams-Every (Michael). He was preceded in death by his daughter: Donna Adams.   Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield  is handling arrangements.
