Dixie Lee deJong, 77 of Danville, passed away May 19, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on March 28, 1943 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Thomas and Julia (Browning) Turley.  Dixie worked for Amtrak for over 25 years, retiring from the payroll department.  She loved all animals and was a wild life rehabilitator for many years.  Survivors include her children, Derek DeJong of Florence, Kentucky and Dana L. DeJong of Boca Raton, Florida.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of the final arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society 3033 E Main St Danville, IN 46122.
