IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra D.
(Dudkowski) Wilson
June 16, 1966 – September 21, 2024
Debra Dudkowski Wilson, 58, of Plainfield, died at home September 21, 2024, following a battle with melanoma. She was born in Indianapolis on June 17, 1966, to Sandra (Drummond) Reed and the late Sam Dudkowski. Debby was raised in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
Though her career in human relations began at the American Cancer Society, she developed expertise in payroll administration at Duke Energy. In recent years, she served in information technology for the federal government through the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
Debby traveled widely, strolling U.S. beaches on every coast, cruising the Caribbean, and exploring the City of Lights. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, crocheting and hosting family celebrations—rivaling the talents of Martha Stewart. Her summer specialty was zucchini pie, and her dumplings were her most-requested holiday dish.
And dogs—she loved dogs. Her German Shepherds, Fitz and Duffy, already miss her so.
Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with her husband of 26 years, Dave Wilson; sons Taylor Burrin and David (Abigail) Wilson; and four grandchildren: Madden, Ryker, Harper and Penelope. Other survivors include her mother, Sandra (Bert) Reed; her siblings, Tina Dudkowski Lamb, John (Jamie) Downey, April Julian, Missy Neff, Angela Dudkowski Stalker, Michael (Hannah) Downey, Lisa (Steve) Downey Johnson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
