Danny E. Brownewell, 82 of Avon, was called home December 06, 2020. He resided in Cherished Memories at Cumberland Trace, Plainfield until his passing. He was born on July 17, 1938 in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Walter and Hilda G. Crone Brownewell. He grew up in Switz City, Indiana. Danny married the love of his life, Roberta K. Van Horn, on December 15, 1957 in Jasonville, Indiana and they share four daughters. Danny started his career in family farming which was his life's passion where he remained until joining Allison's Transmission for over 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson, as well as fishing and tinkering with woodworking. He actively attended Avon United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Roberta Brownewell of Avon; daughters, Kathy Adams (Michael) of Avon, Rhonda Campbell (Michael) of Whitestown, Julie Fields (Wes) of Martinsville, Belinda Burke (David White) of Fort Myers, FL; brother, Eddy Brownewell of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jennifer Carlson (Jason) of Brownsburg, Caleb Campbell (Haley) of Indianapolis, Shelby Adams of Louisville, KY; and one great-grandson, Andrew Carlson (Boo Boo). His parents, siblings, Walter Brownewell (infant), Billy Brownewell and Marilyn Bennett, preceded him in death. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with entombment to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 50 E 91st St, Ste 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.
