Dale Russell West, 73 of Danville, peacefully passed away February 11, 2024 at home with his family by his side.  He was born on February 19, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Mary (Jones) and Don West.  He was an U. S. Army veteran.  Dale married Bette Sue Gray on July 29, 1978 in Sandusky, Ohio.  They were married for 41 years before her death on August 02, 2019.  He was a machinist for Allison's for 45 years.  Survivors include his children, Jacqueline Noreen Andrew (Ben) of Plainfield, Elizabeth Suzanne Kolumbus of Danville, Noelle Chambers-West of Avon, Thomas Chambers of Danville, Theresa Suzann Reese of Washington State, Robert Scott Chambers of California; brother, Don "Dink" West (Annette); 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and a nephew.  His parents; wife; daughter, Crystal Dee Weimer; and sister, Marsha Romine preceded him in death.  A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Blanton House Retreat and Conference Center 625 N Washington St Danville, IN.  Friends and family may call from 3:00 pm until the memorial service begins.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
