IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dale Lee
Baldwin
February 6, 1945 – March 31, 2025
Dale Lee Baldwin, age 80, of Monrovia, Indiana, passed away on March 31, 2025, at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis on February 6, 1945, to the late Howard "Pete" and Arah Doerges Baldwin.
He married Beverly Eileen Baldwin (McQueen) on May 5, 1971, and they shared 54 wonderful years together. She was the love of his life, and the love they shared was one of a kind. He treasured her, and she treasured him. He was a devoted and loving father to Jo'El McClenney, Nathanael Baldwin, Jonathan Baldwin, and Jessica Evans. He cherished his grandchildren: Ethan McClenney, Elle' McClenney, Evan Baldwin, Jacob Evans, Carter Baldwin, Emma Evans, Shelby Baldwin, Ben Evans, and Lily Baldwin, along with his two great-grandchildren on the way. Dale is also survived by his sister, Sandra Gish, and was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Baldwin.
Dale was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Indianapolis. His faith was at the heart of his life, and he had a deep love for the Lord. He regularly led his family in prayer, establishing a strong spiritual foundation for those he loved.
He was an installer for Indiana Bell and worked in HVAC for several years before his retirement. He was also a proud Air Force veteran who carried his sense of duty and commitment throughout his life. After his service, he built a life full of family, creativity, and love. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He was a fun grandpa, and his grandchildren returned his love, always eager to spend time with him.
Dale enjoyed working outside in the yard with his wife, Beverly, and tending to their orchard together. Known for his inventive spirit, Dale was always creating useful contraptions around the house. If there was anything that could be repaired or fixed, he was the one who could fix it. And once he repaired something, you were guaranteed that it would never break again.
Dale was the most selfless man you would ever meet. He would always put others' needs before his own, even if it meant eating the burnt cookies so everyone else could enjoy the good ones. He claimed to love burnt cookies, but we all knew it was just another way of putting others before himself. He was always willing and happy to sacrifice his time to help anyone in need. He had many talents and used all of those talents to make the world a better place for his loved ones.
Dale's unwavering love for his family, his faith, and his passion for life's simple joys will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was quiet but had a strong and gentle way about him. He had a great sense of humor that always kept people on their toes. Dale will be deeply missed but will always be in the hearts of those he loved.
