Connie S. Hardwick, 79 of Avon, passed away March 12, 2017.  Born October 16, 1937 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George C. and Mae Black Butler.  She married Carl L. Hardwick and he preceded her in death in 1996.  Connie worked as the manager for Butler Garden Center in Danville, until her retirement in 2007.  She loved to quilt, garden, plant flowers, cook for her family, and spend time with her grandchildren.  Survivors include her sons, Mark Hardwick (Janice), Gary Hardwick, Scott Hardwick; sister, Cheryl Cheek (Glen); grandchildren, Ben Hardwick, Khelsea Johnson, Kattie Fleece, Cody Hardwick, Mahaley Hardwick, Carley Hardwick; ten (10) great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, with whom she was very close to.  Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Calling will be from 5:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the funeral home.
