Obituary

Cheryl Dale Irwin fell asleep in death in her home surrounded by her beloved family on September 1, 2022. She courageously fought a 3 year battle with breast cancer while always maintaining her cheerful nature. She was born in 1961 in Indianapolis, to Robert and Joan (Tuttle) Dale.

Cheryl was a 1980 Graduate of Cascade High School. She worked for the State of Indiana Employment Security Division and the Indiana Department of Aging and Community Services, where she met her husband Richard. They married July 20, 1984. They moved to Clayton, Indiana in 1986 where they raised their three children.

In 2012, Richard and Cheryl moved to Belhaven, North Carolina where they attended the Belhaven Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. They stayed in the Washington North Carolina area until they moved back to Plainfield Indiana in 2020.

Cheryl's faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses played an important role in her life. She devoted her time to helping people appreciate the future blessings to be realized by God's Kingdom, as outlined in the Bible. She especially appreciated the hope of the resurrection and living forever on a paradise earth where death and pain will be no more.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard, as well as daughters Janna (Joseph) Wolfe and Leah Irwin and son Spencer (Sarah) Irwin. She has 5 dear grandsons: Logan, Nolan and Parker Wolfe and Liam and Lucas Bozek. She is also survived by her siblings Laura (Bill) Albers, Paul (Karen) Dale, Timothy (Lisa) Dale, and her twin sister Carol (Kent) Dippel, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and her faithful canine companion: Stache Clay. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark Dale.
