Charles Eugene Thurnall, 72 of Danville, passed away on July 21, 2023 at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.  He was born on June 17, 1951 in Indianapolis to the late Mary Louise (Wolfenbarger) and Floyd A. Thurnall.  Charlie married his high school sweetheart, Jean Hatcher on June 06, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danville.  He was a member of the Speedway Moose Lodge #500 and the A. P. A.  He was an Eagle Scout with #301, enjoyed playing golf, billiards, fishing and bowling.  Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeannie Thurnall of Danville; children, Angela Thurnall (Darien) of Indianapolis, Chuck Thurnall II (Kendra) of Lebanon, Billy Thurnall of Mooresville; sisters, Janet Cummings (Ray) of Danville, Clara Lou Freese of Greencastle; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  His parents and brother, Ralph Thurnall, preceded him in death.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the New Winchester Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes or JDRF P.
