Obituary

Carol Ann Redwine, 83 of Danville, passed away on May 22, 2026. She was born on August 24, 1942, in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, to the late Idella M. (Weaver) and Howard Edgar Long.

In her teenage years, she was the regular pianist at her home church and was broadcast live on local radio several times. She was also class president of her high school.

Carol married Ralph C. Redwine on June 09, 1962, in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, after meeting two years prior at Elmhurst College outside of Chicago. Shortly thereafter they settled in Montgomery, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, where they raised their three sons. After working as an administrative assistant, she landed at the United Methodist Women’s Service Center servicing inside sales.

Carol was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church where she was active with the Sewing Circle. She also held many offices and served many years for the United Methodist Women’s group.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ralph C. Redwine of Danville; sons, Scott (Mary) Redwine of Columbus, OH., Jeffrey (Cheryl) Redwine of Liberty Township, OH., Andrew (Sally) Redwine of Danville; 8 grandchildren, Tori Redwine, Maddie (Bobby) Barnes, Nolan (Caroline) Redwine, Elyse Redwine, Hayden (Allie) Redwine, Pierce Redwine, Grace Redwine, Cooper Redwine; 2 great grandchildren, Maeve and Brooks Barnes; and a niece, Del Ann Beltz. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, DeVoe Beltz and Marlene Ransom.

Carol was a kind-hearted spirit who enjoyed donating to causes for those in need. She showed her love to family and friends by cooking countless Sunday dinners, special occasions and holiday gatherings. She was also passionate about her faith and was routinely involved in Bible studies. Carol was very proud of her ever-growing family; sharing stories with anyone who would listen. Known as Nano and Mom, she will be missed beyond measure.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home in Danville from 2:00 to 4:00 with the service immediately following.
