Carla J. (Sparks) Kattman, age 77, of Plainfield passed away on February 18, 2024.  She was born on November 29, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Ronald and Edna May (Beineke) Sparks.  She married James Kattman on December 2, 1967.  She was a clerk for the state of Indiana Department of Revenue for 22 years, retiring in 2004.  She enjoyed watching her grandkids activities, working crossword puzzles, reading the Stephanie Plum series, staying connected with long-time friends, and her time living in Florida from 2006-2017.  She is survived by her husband James Kattman, her 3 children, Jim (Amy) Kattman of Cincinnati, OH, Matt (Carrie) Kattman of Sioux Falls, SD and Angie (David) Wotta of Martinsville, IN, brother, Brian (Becky) Sparks of Indianapolis and 4 grandchildren, Sam Breyer of Aberdeen, SD, Liz Kattman of Sioux Falls, SD, Kate Kattman and Reese Kattman of Cincinnati, OH.   Carla is predeceased by her brothers Jay Sparks and Dennis Sparks. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  A reception will be held immediately after the visitation, time and place to be determined.
