Bobby M. "Bob" Mitchell, age 85, of Clayton, passed away on November 18, 2021 in I.U. West Hospital.  He was born on December 19, 1935 in Jasonville, Indiana to Robert and Mildred Foy Mitchell Bohnert and was raised by his mother and his stepfather Bill Bohnert.  He married Jane Moss on April 14, 1956 in Jasonville, Indiana; she survives. He received his AB degree from Clark College maintaining a 4.1 GPA.   Bob retired after 20 years of dedicated service from the United States Airforce and also worked as a labor market analyst for 22 years for the State of Indiana before retiring in 1998.  He was a member of the Plainfield American Legion post #329.  Private funeral services will be held in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Burial with full Military rites will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Survivors include his wife of 65 years Jane Mitchell.  Children: Lisa Via and Lance Mitchell.  Grandchildren:  Tara Trivett (Daniel), Waylon Via (Brittany), Luke Via, Alexis Morgan (Chase).  14 greatgrandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and another one on the way.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Lori Lee Mitchell.  Please make memorial contributions to the Special Olympics Hendricks County; please make checks out to SOIN Hendricks County and mail them to Scott Munroe 6855 East Cr. 800 N.
