Beverly Swearingen, 80, of Plainfield, passed away on February 27, 2017 in Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield.  She was born on August 10, 1936 in Brazil, Indiana to Ray and Mary Kilmer DeLana Ritchie.  She married John W. Swearingen; he preceded her in death in 2003.  Bev gave Piano Lessons for several years and was the organist at Plainfield Christian Church and Bethel AME Church.  Survivors include her children: Nancy O' Haver, Beth Blevins, Mindy Swearingen, John Swearingen (Kristy) and Mark (Carrie) Swearingen.  Sister: Nancy Jo Crabb.  Half-sister: Diane DeLana Darmstadt.  16 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren.  Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with calling 1 hour prior. Rev. David Swarn will officiate.  Burial will take place in Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil, Indiana.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st  Street STE 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46209-4830.
