Beverly A. Allen, 79 of Plainfield, passed away January 29, 2018 in Franklin, Ohio.  She was born in French Lick, Indiana on March 9, 1938 to Paul and Loretta Lorey Chilton.  She married Jack E. Allen in 1959.   He preceded her in death in June of 1992.  After working full time for ten years in the Hendrick's County Assessor's office, Beverly continued her employment on a part time basis until early 2017.  She worshiped and actively served at Plainfield Christian Church and volunteered with the Hendricks County Community Foundation, Friends of the Library, and Hendricks County Republican Women.  Survivors include her daughters, Karen Stevens, Angela Allen; brother, Phil Chilton; sisters, Paula Vitalie, Marcia Vernon, Nancy Miller; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  A visitation is planned from 10-12:00 with the funeral at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Plainfield Christian Church.  The burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road Plainfield, IN 46168.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is in charge of the arrangements.
