Betty Jean Lairmore, 85 of Plainfield, passed away on July 28, 2023. She was born on April 06, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Lona (DeWitt) and Benjamin Patterson. After the death of her mother, she was raised by her father and his wife, Opal Patterson. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1955. Betty married Arthur F. Lairmore on March 30, 1957 in Indianapolis. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Plainfield. She worked as a teacher's aide in the computer lab at Plainfield High School for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Arthur F. Lairmore. Son: Douglas B. (Michelle) Lairmore. Granddaughters: Amanda J. Lairmore-Heider and Megan Easterbrook.  Great-Grandchildren: Zayden Lairmore, Weston Lairmore, Aurora Heider, Jacob Easterbrook, Roman Easterbrook.  Sister: Wilma Steffy.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents and Great-Grandchildren River Easterbrook, June Easterbrook and sister: Helen Stricker.  A celebration of life will be held on August 12, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Plainfield 1012 Stafford Road in Plainfield.  Family will receive friends in the church from 11 a.m. until 12 noon.  Services will start at 12 noon in the church with Rev.
