Betty Lee (Chelf) McCoun Ferguson, age 92, of Plainfield passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 in Plainfield.  She was born on January 2, 1933 in Lizton, Indiana to the late Luther and Letha Mae Sandusky Chelf.  She married Daniel Joseph Ferguson, Sr. on April 17, 1959; he preceded her in death on March 14, 2025.  Betty was a cashier for Marsh Supermarkets for 25 years retiring in 1996.  She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Plainfield.  She enjoyed to work in her garden and to sew.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 17, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Entombment will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service in the funeral home.

Survivors include her children: Connie William (Billy), Vickie Groce (Rick), Donna Ray (Larry), Dan Ferguson, Jr. (Sandy) and Michael Ferguson.  Grandchildren: Laura McClure, Christy Guffey (James), Angie Hoots, Cathi Horning (Shawn), Audra Ferguson, Ava Ferguson, Abby Ferguson and Atticus Ferguson.  Great Grandchildren: Rhianna, Kendyl, Brennan, Eli and Rylan.  Numerous Nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son John Ferguson two brothers and two sisters.
