Betty, age 78 left her earthly home on January 24, 2022,to be with her family in her eternal home in heaven. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana she was the daughter of Effen and Alvera Burnell. She was preceded in death by her husband, George as well as her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Betty was an attending member of Bridgeport Central Baptist Church in Indianapolis. She was retired from Pekin Insurance Company.

Betty had many interests. She loved music, reading books, shopping for antiques, owning dachshunds, and going to Belterra Casino with her "casino girls". She was a former member of the Eastern Star, Omega Phi Tau, and the American Businesswomen Association.

She will be greatly missed by the entire Calvert family whom she had spent a majority of the last fifty years with having fun and making memories.

A special thanks to the nurses in the surgical unit at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville, Indiana who made her last days comfortable. These nurses serve with a compassionate heart: Nurses Kelsey, Anita, and Debbie. A special thanks to Julie (Calvert) Watts who for the last 14 years has been her caretaker and caregiver.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 29, from noon to 1 p.m. with the service beginning at 1 p.m.at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home located at 339 East Main Street in Plainfield, Indiana. Burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery 9295 West 21st Street in Indianapolis.
