Obituary

Bert (Bertha Ann) Littrell, 70, joined her Savior from her home on Sunday morning March 25th. The wife of Steve Littrell of nearly 53 years; Mom to Sandy (John) Thompson and Ken (Shelby) Littrell; and Meme to Emma, Anna, Erin, Grace, Abigail, Megan, Avery and Addison. She was reunited with her parents Ernest Franklin Bridges and Edna Marcella (Myers) Bridges and eldest sister Betty Jo Lightle, and is survived by her other 3 sisters; Sara Bridges, Marlene (Phil) Everman and Arlene Bridges. Bert enjoyed working throughout her life and ultimately retired from Eli Lilly 5 years ago. She enjoyed many crafts, hobbies and interests to include flowers and gardening, sewing and cooking, but she centered her life on loving and serving her family selflessly.  She most enjoyed using her gifted hands and loving heart making every moment, event and occasion personal, warm and special.  She extended her love and thoughtfulness to countless others in her life always sharing the time to visit, call, write letters and notes or listen whenever needed. We have been blessed to have shared in her life and although we will dearly miss her, we will smile upon every reminder and discovery of the treasures she left in us.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 29th from 4-8 P.M. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield, at 7:30 P. M. her son, Ken, will give her eulogy.  A private graveside service will be held on Friday. While she loved flowers, she would ultimately wish for others to share this love and thoughtfulness to someone that needs you now.
