Bernard Vincent Harney, 92 of Indianapolis (formerly of Danville), passed away on February 05, 2023 in Hamilton County. He was born on November 28, 1930 in Milo Township, Illinois, to the late Agnes Rose (Tully) and Francis Vincent Harney. He was an U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Bernard was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Danville American Legion Post #118, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an electrical engineer and a supervisor at Honeywell before retiring. He had previously worked at Caterpillar and also for the State of Indiana Department of Public Works. Survivors include his son, Paul Harney; daughters, Arlene Harney, Angela Harney, Marsha (Edward) Terrell, Susan (Garry) Stamm; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Eubanks, Caleb Eubanks, Christopher Stamm, and Matthew Stamm. His parents; brother, Martin T. Harney; 3 infant brothers; and former wife, Mary Lou (Edwards) Harney, preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Danville South Cemetery, with military honors to follow. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
