Belinda Gay Flaherty, 63 of Danville, passed away on February 15, 2026 in I U Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on May 19, 1962 in Indianapolis to the late Joyce Jeanette (Morris) and John A. McCarthy, Sr.

Belinda graduated from Danville Community High School in 1980 and married William L. “Bill” Flaherty on November 29, 1980. He preceded her in death on January 08, 2022, after 41 years of marriage. She worked as a billing specialist for Hendricks Regional Health. When not at work Belinda enjoyed fishing and crocheting. Her favorite time was spent with her family and friends and especially her 4 grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie (Dan) Robinson, Cassie (Ryan) Phillips, both of Danville; sister, Tammy (Jason) Walls of Lebanon; 4 grandchildren, Layla, Aiden, Kallie, Nolan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Regina and Starla McCarthy; and brother, John A. McCarthy, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Sean Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the service time in the funeral home. Following Belinda’s wishes she will be cremated after the funeral services. Burial will take place at a later date.
