Barbara Jean Finney Brown, age 86, of Plainfield, passed away on August 28, 2023.  She was born on September 20, 1936 in Biloxi, Mississippi to S.J. and Frances McCoy Finney.  She was the widow of Russell D. Brown, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2000.  Her son, Michael Jay Brown, also preceded her in death in 1983.  She is survived by her daughter:  Cynthia (Cindy) Richhart (Ron Fultz, Sr.), granddaughter:  Stephanie Curran (David) and great-granddaughter: Kaelynn Cary.  Private graveside services will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield is handling arrangements.
