Alta M. Mann, age 82 of Avon, Indiana passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.

Alta was born on July 27, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was raised by her mother, Marion Virginia Schmidt.

Alta married Ronnie P. Mann, on January 14, 1971 and together they shared 42 years of marriage filled with cherished memories until his passing in May 2013. During their time in Michigan, Alta worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years. After retirement and the loss of her husband, Alta returned to Indiana where she found a new purpose in taking care of others and spending time with her beloved family and neighbors. She also enjoyed spoiling her precious dog, Maggie, who was her baby. Alta was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield, Indiana.

She is survived by her children, Norman Paul Blunk (Cindy), William Dale Mynatt (Erin), Jennifer Lynn Seguna (Jeffrey); brother, Patrick Schmidt; 4 grandchildren, Richard Mynatt, Anthony Seguna, Trey Blunk, Chelsea Melone (Anthony); 3 great grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is loved dearly and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Alta was preceded in death by her mother; husband; and brother, Michael Schmidt.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, Indiana, with burial to follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
