Virginia P. (Parsons) Vapor

Virginia Parsons Vapor passed away December 8, 2018.

She was the daughter of Chester and Hazel Parsons of Avon, Indiana and was preceded by her sister Mary, Brother Frank and husband Rudy Vapor.

Virginia lived a great life living independently, productively and in good health for 97 years. She was an accomplished woman and shared her skills in sewing, cooking, making candy, woodworking and gardening with many others. She was always there to support her family and friends in whatever way needed. She was a voracious reader and was current on world events her entire life. She was a member of the Plainfield Friends Church.

Virginia was raised on her Mom and Dad’s farm in Avon and, after her parents passing, moved back to the farm the last 30 years of her life. Under her stewardship the farm was maintained in near original condition and added to National Register of Historic Places.

She is survived by son Curt, daughter-in-law Teresa, granddaughter Leslie Vapor Ratliff (husband, Michael) and great-grandson Knox. She is a grounding rock for all of us and her memory will bring smiles to all who knew her.

Rev. Gary Black will officiate a memorial service at 5 p.m. on Friday December 14, 2018 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until services in funeral home.
