Susan M (Rose) Schlegel

Susan M. (Rose) Schlegel, 75 of Clayton, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018.  She was born December 13, 1942 in Indianapolis to Herman Rose and Orpah Gillenwater Rose Doyle.  She worked at Central State Hospital for 26 years, before retiring.  Susan loved working puzzles, playing cards and most of all, her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Schlegel, Jr.; brothers, Danny and George Rose; sister, Ann Brooks; grandson, Welsey and a great grandson, Keith.  Susan is survived by her sister, Norma Weddington; daughters, Larinda (John) Sowder, Shirley Short, Ladora West (Mike); sons, Charles (Bridgett) Wagers, William (Lora) Schlegel; grandchildren, Helen (Anthony), Destiny, John Eddie (Sandy), DeAnna (Andrew), Snider (Liz), Trey, Amy (Derrick), Michelle, Rudy, DeeAnna (Travis), Tim (Kristin), Bob (Haleigh) and 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Lincoln Memory Garden, Whitestown.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 in the funeral home.
