Sandra and I spent the afternoon recalling favorite memories from our college days when we got to know and respect Stu.

Stu was a natural teacher, who was keenly interested in knowing and supporting everyone in his orbit. He knew when to offer an encouraging word that kept pledges and students focused on the "prize." His warm honesty and wry sense of humor made him interesting and never superficial. The world could use more Stu Sharpes.
