Ruth “Ruthie” Elkins, 80 of Plainfield, passed away on November 30, 2018 in Brownsburg Meadows. Ruthie was born in Decatur, Illinois to John Henry and Helen Willis Hamson. Ruthie cleaned houses a few churches over several years. Ruthie was a true lover of music and will be missed by many dancefloors. Funeral services will be on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Maple Hill Chapel with calling from 10 am until service time. Survivors include her children: Mark, Patrick and David Elkins. 4 Grandchildren 5 Great-grandchildren. Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield is handling the arrangements.
