Russell Lee Daum, 75 of Plainfield, passed away May 4, 2018. He was born on November 1, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Horace Lewis and Alma Ruth Forward Daum. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1960. He married Ellin K. McGinley on February 5, 1983 in Plainfield. Russ was the owner/operator of Russell Daum Trucking in Plainfield. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653 F&AM, Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207 and the Murat Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Ellin Daum; daughters, Susan (Douglas) Moore, Karen (Ricky) Parker, Caitlin Daum, all of Plainfield; siblings, Mary Lou Taber, Robert G. Daum, both of Plainfield, Linda Marie English of Clayton, Melvin C. Daum of Plainfield; grandsons, Robby and Jason Hammond, Joey, Christopher and A. J. Parker and 2 great grandchildren, Hadlee and Emmitt Russell Hammond. His parents and brothers, James L. Daum and 2 infants, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the funeral home.
