Ronald H. Abbott

Ronald H. Abbott, 75 of Plainfield, passed away on August 16, 2019 in his residence.  He was born on April 18, 1944 in Fowler, Indiana to the late Ford S. and Clara Jones Abbott.  He married Pamela Burns in October of 1965; she survives.  Ron was a maintenance manager for Rolls Royce for 40 years retiring in 2004.  He coached girls softball for several years, past president of the Clayton town board, spend many hours at Gilley’s and enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m.  Survivors include his wife Pam.  Daughter: Shawna Tutterow (Steve), son Greg Abbott.  Brothers: Wayne Abbott (Nicole) and Ford Abbott Jr. (Janet).  Sisters: Margaret Curtis (Bill) and Marilyn Holscher (Joseph).  4 Grandchildren and 3 Greatgrandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings James Vernon Abbott, Helen Nichols and Mattie Marion.  Please visit www.bakerfuneralservice.com to leave the family a condolence.
