Oh, how I love the photo selected for Bob's official funeral page! Can you see the "amusement" in his eyes....his smile? What a guy. Not much shook him up.....he seemed almost "indestructible" when it came to what might rattle the rest of us. When we carried our burdens and concerns to him, he was calm, reassuring, and steadfast. I knew Bob (slightly) at USNA and TBS, and saw him a time or two after that. I say 'slightly' because as all would attest, he made a greater impression by his humility, kindness, and gentleness of spirit, than most Midshipmen and Marines one would ever come across. And yes, he had a Godliness about him. He was imbued with the Holy Spirit, and yet was quiet, not boastful about his obvious closeness to the Lord. Sympathies to the Walters family.
