Obituary

Richard James Lohman (Jim) of Plainfield, IN passed away Wednesday October 23, at the age of 76, surrounded by loved ones.

Jim was born January 1, 1942 in Indianapolis,IN. He was the son of Charles and Elinor Lohman. He was a graduate of Southport High School in Indiana. Jim also attended Arizona State University as well as IU Extension in Indianapolis and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jim spent his working life as a sales representative with the majority of his employment with United Stationers.

Jim’s greatest joys in life included spending quality time with his large family and group of friends, traveling and cooking. Jim was also an avid golfer and fisherman.

Survivors include his son James B. Lohman, daughter Julie (Tim) Proffit, brother Charles (Carol) Lohman, sister Jane (John) Wilson, and his two grandchildren Ayden and Isabella Lohman. Jim is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Live ceremony will be held in November in Indianapolis.
