Pauline A. Cox, 90 of Danville, passed away October 3, 2018. Born April 9, 1928 in Crown Center, Indiana, she was the daughter of Verla C. and Blanche Sylvia McCarty Truax. Pauline married Howard E. Cox on June 15, 1947 in Cloverdale and they were married 47 years before he preceded her in death in July 1993.
Pauline was a 54 year member and very active in the Corinthian Chapter #456 Order of the Eastern Star, Indianapolis, Guardian of Jobs Daughters' Bethel Chapter #56, the White Cross Guild of Danville, Hendricks County Homemakers Club, Danville, and the Hendricks County Senior Center. She was Volunteer of the Year for the Senior Center in 2016. She has sewn thousands of Puppy Pillows for Riley Hospital, baby bibs for Hendricks County Hospital, heart pillows for the Heart Hospital of Indianapolis, neck braces and lap pad blankets for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her children, Martha A. (Steve) Meno of New Palestine, Wanda S. (Allen) Lady of Greenwood, Carl A. Cox of Indianapolis, Larry R. (Holly) Cox of Coatesville; sister, Dessie “Dee” VanSickle of Lebanon; 8 grandchildren, Chris Meno (Dave Harstad), Bradley Lady, Debra (Andy) Pollpeter, Douglas (Christine) Lady, Carrie (James) Little, Kenny (Emily) Cox, Jennifer Cox, Devan Cox; and 6 great grandchildren, Brookelyn Lady Kent, Kennady Lady, Kayla Lady, Caleb Little, Avery Little and Adelaide Cox. Her parents, husband, brother, Floyd Allen Truax and son, David E. Cox, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with an Eastern Star Service to be held at 5:00 pm. Services will be at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 with additional visitation from 12:00 noon until the service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
