Obituary

Maurice “Mo” Eugene VandenBergh 68, of Avon, passed away on December 24, 2018.  He was born in Pana, Illinois to Constant and Doris Maxine Vaughn VandenBergh.  He married Elaine Lake on July 27, 1973; she survives.  Mo was in sales for Praxair/Miller for 19 years.  In 2003 he founded VandenBergh & Associates, which was a ceramic engineering consulting and repair company.  He was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church, American Ceramic Society, Knights of Columbus and was on the board of directors of Thermal Spray Society.  In addition to his wife Elaine he is survived by his son Maurice Eugene VandenBergh II; Daughters Jackie and Katie VandenBergh. Brother: Donald (Nella) VandenBergh. Sister: Doris Diane VandenBergh. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 12 noon at St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield with Father Glenn O’Connor officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 10 a.m. until Mass. Following the mass the family would like to invite everyone into the Parish Center for a meal.   In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to either:
