Junior Lee Boyd, 82, of Hernando, FL., formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on November 27, 2017, in his residence. He was born on February 11, 1935 in Somerset, Kentucky. Junior was a Production Worker at GM Truck & Bus for 30 plus years, retiring in 1990.  

Junior enjoyed his dogs, music, singing, dancing, bowling, and putt-putt. He liked his cars and was always the best dressed guy in the room. He loved hanging out with his buddy John in Florida and spending time with his good friends Marty & Melba in Florida and Barb in Indianapolis. Junior always looked forward to the yearly “boys fishing trip” in Florida with the Hatfields. He loved the holidays and being with his family in Indianapolis...especially Christmas and the annual New Year’s Eve party. More than anything, Junior loved to make everyone laugh...and he did it well!

Junior will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Goforth Boyd; father, Walter Boyd; sisters, Faustine Burgin, Eileen Hargis, Lucille Clark, Marie Brinson, Juanita Whitaker, Gladys Styer, and Lois Jackson; brothers, Edward Boyd, Rexford Boyd, JC Boyd, and Harold Boyd. Survivors include sisters, Violet Flinchum and Doris Buchanan, both of Indianapolis; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, IN.  

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN.
