John Michael Glover, 78 of Danville, passed away May 3, 2018. Born July 7, 1939 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was the son of George Reed and Anna Marie Blomme Glover. Mike graduated from Danville High School in 1958, Indiana University in 1962 and received his master’s degree from Butler University. He was a history teacher for 36 years at Plainfield Community Middle School before retiring. Mike was well known for his love of horse drawn carriages and also had an extensive train collection. He was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville. Survivors include his sister, Suzanna (Bob) Schenk of Florida; brother, David (Peg) Glover of Danville; long-time friend, Matt (Nikki) Masariu of Speedway; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Tibor) Pinter, Joe Areddy, Amy Areddy, Katie Glover, Kelly Glover, George (Faren) Glover and several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Danville, with entombment to follow in the Danville South Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Symphony Orchestra 8103 E U S Hwy 36 #104 Avon, IN 46123.
