Joan Astrid (Bauly) Faulkner

In dear and loving memory of JOAN ASTRID (BAULY) FAULKNER

Born October 19, 1935 to Albert Edward Bauly and Ellen (Boyce) Bauly in London, England.  Passed away peacefully in the company of family on February 12, 2018 at 82 years of age in her home of 55 years in Plainfield, Indiana.  Joan was pre-deceased by her brother, Leonard Edward Bauly of Mississauga, Ontario (Canada) who passed away in 2013.

After arriving in the United States from England in 1957 she worked at RCA in New Jersey, then transferred to Indianapolis.  There she met Bill Faulkner whom she married in 1963. They were happily married over 41 years, until his passing in 2004. They had no children. 

Joan was an avid collector of antique dolls and jewelry and until her death she ran a booth at Gilley’s Antique Mall in Plainfield.  Her passion for animals was unmatched.  She enjoyed going to auctions and playing bridge.  She was a huge fan of NASCAR racing and NFL football (despite her disappointment with the Colts!). 

Joan was also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Curtis and brother-in-law, Buford Curtis.  Joan is survived by her sister-in-law Esther Bauly, three nephews  - William Curtis (Rachel), Frank Curtis (Paula) and Richard Bauly (Sandra) and her niece, Lynn Bauly.  Her beloved Nephew Robert Bauly (Palma) preceded her in death.  Three great nephews Adam Roberts, Spencer Bauly and Ryan Bauly.  Six great nieces Shelley Gentry (Loren), Mary Ann Kershaw (James), Kristin Davenport, Amanda Hoffman (Timothy), Sarah Bauly and Mariah Bauly.  Nine great-great nephews Kaleb Gentry, Wyatt Gentry, Jacob Gentry, Kaden Kershaw, Kenneth Davenport, Cayson Roberts, Atticus Roberts, Keaton Hoffman and Landon Hoffman.  Three great-great nieces Kaitlynn Kershaw, Kayleigh Davenport and EvaLynn Roberts.
