James P. Norris

James P. Norris, 77 of Indianapolis, passed away January 24, 2019 at St. Augustine Home in Indianapolis.  He was born February 3, 1941 in Louisville, KY.  James worked as a construction project manager for Jungclaus-Campbell Co., J. C. Ripberger Co., and was the co-owner of Genesis Construction.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mooresville.  James was an all-state full back at Flaget Catholic High School in Louisville.  He enjoyed painting, reading and coaching youth sports.   Survivors include his children, Cheryl (Dwayne) Trice of Indianapolis, Gregory (Julie) Norris of Indianapolis, Stephen Norris of Westfield, Robin (Donny) Groth of Lebanon, Todd (Tami) Adams of Greenfield, Joan (Vincent) Santiago of Plainfield, Jason (Kelly) Adams of Mooresville; sister, Deborah (Rick) Towson of Louisville, KY.; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  His parents, Elizabeth (Bean) Sands, Tolbert Rudolf “Jack” Sands; wife, Beverly Jo Norris and former wife, Glenda Rose Sturgeon Norris, preceded him in death.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 1, 2019 in St. Augustine Home, Indianapolis, with burial to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Father Abbott Lambert will officiate.  Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor St. Augustine Home 2345 W 86th St Indianapolis, IN 46260.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
