Helen F. Mitchell, 94 of Danville, passed away on August 22, 2017 in I.U. Health in Bedford, Indiana.  Helen was born on December 27, 1922 in Washington County, Indiana to Burkey and Lina Fleenor Holstine. She married Leon Mitchell; he preceded her in death in 1975.  Helen was the cafeteria manager for Danville Community Schools for several years before her retirement.  She was a volunteer for Hendricks Community Hospital and member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  Calling hours will be on Saturday August 26, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Tim Gephart officiating.  Burial will take place in Danville South Cemetery.  Survivors include her Daughters: Sharon (Mike) Neuman and Dana (Ron) Grimes.  Grandchildren: Reed (Denise) Neuman, Nicole Neuman- (Kelly) Hurt, Brett Grimes, Kirsten Grimes- (Brandon) Martin. Great Grandchildren: Victoria, Alexandra, Peyton Neuman, Willow Allen, Sienna Grimes, Gavin Martin and Case Martin.  She was preceded in death by brothers: William and Kenneth Holstine, sister: Edith Holmes.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Indiana Donor Network or donor’s favorite charity.  Online condolences can be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
